Why do men have a deeper voice timbre?

What is voice and why are they all different?
The voice is the characteristic sound of humans and animals that is emitted when air is expelled through the larynx , causing the vocal cords to vibrate . In addition, thanks to the range, the vocal timbre and the vibrato shape of the vocal, it is (almost) impossible for two to be the same.
The voice is also considered the way to know different aspects of a person 's life , as well as their culture , their origin , their temperament or their hormonal and emotional state , among others.
Why do the male and female voices have different timbres?
Men and women have very different voice timbres (but you've already noticed this, haven't you?) However, you probably don't know why. (And that's why I'm here).
The cause of this noticeable difference in the timbres of our voices is very easy to explain: everything is due to the different sizes of our vocal cords and the structures of the larynx . In general, men have more length and width in these muscle folds and, in addition, we have a much lower vibration frequency (while we have a frequency of 100Hz, they have a frequency of 200Hz).
That is why men have a much lower voice timbre than women; since the fewer vibrations per second of the vocal cords , the more serious our tone will be . In this way, men usually have a low , baritone , tenor or countertenor .
When does the voice of men change?
Obviously, throughout life, men suffer a quite drastic change in their voices (in most cases). This is because in adolescence the vocal cords lengthen and widen , so it could be said that we are predisposed to undergo this evolution in our voice. This, added to the increase in testosterone levels that we usually suffer at this stage of life, causes our voice to deepen much more.
